Baby swimming Classes are held at Pontlands Park Hotel and Gemstone Pools
From 3 months old a baby can be introduced to the pool, in a friendly and enjoyable class. Baby swimming classes are ideal for improving bonding and confidence. You will learn different holds, safety points and practices that will encourage your childs natural reflexes to become voluntary movements. The classes are designed to work with you and your baby at your own individual pace, ensuring a fun and enjoyable experience.
The pre school swimming classes are for toddlers going in on their own, with an emphasis on fun toddlers can start improving their strokes, gain independence, and build confidence while exploring the pool. A key part of the lesson is on safety.
Babies are required to wear the Splashabout Happy Nappies, they are avaliable from gemstone pool or can be bought direct from Splashabout.net Nappies and wetsuits are available at Pontlands Park Hotel.
Gemstone Pools
Gemstone Pools Ltd is a purpose built pool with babies and toddlers in mind.
There is a viewing area where you can purchase a cup of tea or coffee and watch your child learn to swim. Also a small area for siblings to play.
Classes run every half hour on the following days:-
- Mondays - 13:30 till 15:30
- Tuesdays - 12:00 till 13:30
- Wednesday - 13:00 till 15:00
- Thursdays - 12:30 till 15:00
- Fridays - 13:30 till 16:00
- Saturday - 13:00 till 14:00

Pontlands Park Hotel
Baby Nurture has exclusive hire of the pool, and changing areas. Parents also benefit from the Hotels Cafe, where you can purchase food, drink while catching up with the other mums, dads and babies.
